Original period manufacture. Early style helmet with double ventilators on each side of the helmet, complete original liner and chinstrap and original decals as shown.The painted surface of the helmet shows wear, and there is evidence of an aluminum comb being removed and the holes remain, a common occurrence with these pattern helmets.The original chinstrap is dry but unbroken, sound original leather liner with cork spacers. Stamped inside the neckskirt is an interesting makers mark of a reclining lion and the word THALE, DRP.The right side decal is the early canted swastika which has had a later NSDAP decal placed over top of it at some point, the cleaned away.
