Original era manufacture. Early production bayonet bearing the code S/240 which indicates manufacture by Herder, spine dated 1936. Matching numbers blade to scabbard of 6441a. Nice blue finish to the unsharpened blade with a mix of light surface corrosion and blue to the other metal surfaces. The scabbard body is dent-free and the throat screw is missing. Nice wood grips overall but the left grip plate shows a chip towards the guard. Clean early production bayonet with Weimar type waffenamt proofs.
