Original era production. Standard size, printed document for an award presented on 27 August, 1942. Signed byan Oberleutnant. Aufklarungs-Abteilung 31, served with the 31st InfantryDivision during WWII, seeing combat in Poland, Belgium, France and the Russian Front. It served with Army Group Center, fought in the battle of Kursk, and was nearly destroyedduring the Russian summer offensive in 1944, Operation Bagration. Rebuilt, and designated a Volks-Grenadier division, it once more found itself fighting on the Eastern Front in the Courland Pocket, they escaped, only to be destroyed during the Battle of Berlin.
