Original era manufacture. Named to Objg Gerhard Koglin who served with the 5./Gren.Rgt.9. A rather late award as it is dated January 1944. Signed by his Regimental Commander. Folded, old paperclip stains near the bottom. Grenadier Regiment Nr.9 served with the 26th Panzer Division during WWII. At the time of Koglin's award the 26th Panzer Division was fighting in Italy. It was destroyed south of the Po River in April of 1945.
