Original era manufacture. A very clean zinc based medal displaying an even gray finish, with most of the silver wash remaining on the rim.Clean original ribbon does not glow under a UV light. Original issue maker marked envelope showing normal age and wear, no rips or tears. Really an exceptional condition Eastern Front Medal, maker number on the ring, 61, Rudolf Karneth & Sohn, Gablonz, maker marked on the envelope Metal & Kunsthoff Gablonz.
