Original era manufacture. A very clean example with an original period leather sword knot wrapped around the hilt. The chrome finished steel blade measures 28.75 inches in length with no issues, Eickhorn trademark visible under the reverse langet. Gilded brass guard and pommel heavily decorated with oakleaves, Heer pattern eagle on the obverse langet, original owners initials on the reverse langet. Damage free black plastic covered grip with triple bound with triple wire. Dent free, black painted steel scabbard retaining nearly all of its original finish. The scabbard is considerably longer than the blade, measuring 33.5 inches, throat to the bottom of the drag. A nice looking sword, with a proper scabbard fit without binding.
