Original era manufacture. We recently purchased a large old collection of Elastolin and Lineol figures and we will be offering them here in the coming weeks and months. Today we have a lot of 12 mounted German WWII figures, each astride a horse with either an Elastolin or Lineol marked base. All are presenting as a mounted Artillery Band. The lot includes two french horn players, two tuba players, four fanfare buglers, kettle drummer and two guidon bearers. The gentleman who put this amazing collection together certainly enjoyed them, modifying some of them by adding a sword or weapon, or altering the figure itself to achieve a desired pose or purpose. This process can certainly be seen in the guidon bearers as I believe his right arm of each was modified to carry the flag, which in itself is entirely scratch built and hand painted. Some of the horses also show a few repairs, however the overall effect is quite striking, making an impressive display.
