Original era manufacture. Part of a recent German collection purchase, is this brown leather, officers, or leaders pattern waistbelt, with a double claw frame buckle. The belt will fit a 37 inch waist at maximum, with a movable leather vertical keeper intact. The alloy buckle has a pebbled finish to the obverse and is devoid of markings on the reverse. The reverse of the belt has the word croupon 138, and a size mark of 90 (cm). The width of the belt itself is about 58 mm.The belt leather is pliable, the stitching is sound, and no dry-rot is visible. Perhaps of French manufacture, but would easily pass for German, especially in 1940.
