German WWII Feldgrau Civil Police Helmet

Original era manufacture. Feldgrau paint finished helmet with two sets of pierced ventilator holes on each side of the crown. Stenciled numbers 34 on each side and on the interior of the neck skirt in black paint. Original leather liner and chinstrap, the strap has pulled away from one side. There is some wear and denting to the surface of the helmet, but a fairly unusual example in any case. Faint outline of an early RLB emblem on the front, likely an old repro applied by a previous owner. Sometimes there is just no need to "gild the lilly" relics are just fine left as they are.
