Original period manufacture. An envelope and letter mailed on the 16th of July 1942, to a soldier serving in a unit assigned the Feldpost number 28828. This number was assigned to Panzergrenadier Regiment 21, which formed part of the 24th Panzer Division, all of which was destroyed during the Battle for Stalingrad, 1942-43. Meppen Germany cancellation stamp in the right corner, Feldpost in a script hand above the recipients name and address, with a bold 28828 below.
