Original era manufacture. Handpainted composition figure by the famous German firm of Lineol. Recently purchased from the daughter of a collector who passed away in the early 1970's. Excellent detail and an old re-paint, no issues beyond light handling and wear. August von Mackensen (1849-1945) served in the Franco-Prussian War and was an Army commander during WWI. In 1941 he wore this uniform to the funeral of Kaiser Wilhelm II.
