Original period manufacture. Dark plum two piece bakelite grip secured with three steel rivets. Simple oval shaped zinc guard, six inch polished steel blade with scattered staining and spotting along its length. Black painted steel scabbard retaining about 50% of its original painted finish, dark steel patina elsewhere. This knife was one of many souvenirs brought home to the US after the end of WWII by Corporal R.D.Easler, 3468th Ordnance Company, US Army.
