Original era manufacture. A very nice, out-of-the-woodwork sword which features an old fashioned German Fire helmet as its logo. 33.5 inch bright chromed steel blade with a few very tiny nicks in the cutting edge. There are some minor scuffs on the blade surface but overall it is quite nice. Black painted steel scabbard without dents and retaining 90% plus of its original finish. Black plastic wrapped grip with triple wire binding, chrome finished guard and pommel. Wrapped around the pommel and guard is a period WWII Fire Officials knot which was purchased with this sword. From the estate of a WWII US Army Doctor who brought the sword home with him after WWII.
