Original era manufacture. Heavy steel axe head which is maker marked on the left side, dark steel patina finish overall. Proper wooden haft, which is reinforced with a thin strip of steel which runs through the axe head and secures to the reverse of the handle.The axe shows wear and use, but still quite sound for display.
