Original era manufacture. WWII Police style shell with top plugs covering the holes left by a removed comb. Red postwar overpaint with an interesting aluminum fire emblem at front. Period leather neckguard at the rear, complete liner with a period chinstrap which is missing its adjusting buckle. Normal age and wear, size about a 58.
