Original era manufacture. Late war manufacture G-43 pouch of ordnance tan colored vinyl material with brown leatherstraps with steel and aluminum fittings. Postwar applied Warsaw Pact green paint applied to some of the metal fittings to reduce the chance of corrosion. Perhaps more likely a job to keep Private Ivan occupied during the cold months. Storage wear only, likely never used.
