Original era manufacture. Norwegian capture K98 rifle stock which comes complete with the following;hardwood stock and upper handguard, upper and lower barrel bands, bayonet lug, band spring, recoil bolt andflat butt plate.Mix ofserialnumbers, the stock channel and butt plate are numbered 9826, and the bayonet lug is numbered 26.The stock bolt, bayonet lugand take down disc show an early waffenamt eagle with a code 63.There is a very clever, and well done arsenal repair on the top of the wrist, just behind the main receiver securing bolt hole. Love them or hate them, it is part of the history of this old stock, proving once again the Germans never threw anything away. No dowel reinforcement, eagle proofs on the stock face.
