Original era manufacture. German WWII Army steel helmet, complete. Named to W. Bottcher. NS64. Most of the original factory finish remains on the helmet, with the original Heer pattern decal as shown. Complete liner with drawstring, intact, and pliable, original leather chinstrap. Boldly hand painted name on the underside of the neck skirt, W. BOTCHER. This name is repeated on the side of  the liner body, along with other notations made by the soldier. All three rivets are in place, matching paint, with slot washers present. A great example of a WWII German Army helmet with a wonderful "been there" patina.
