Original era manufacture. An unmolested example of a WWII Heer pattern M1942 steel helmet. Inside the liner band is securely attached with three original rivets and slot washers, never removed, or bothered in my opinion. The exterior of the helmet has never been cleaned in any way, retaining most of the dark feldgrau paint finish, with a strong original decal as shown. Complete original liner with drawstring, all three rivets with slot washers are in place, named on the inside of the neck skirt to Uffz.(Unteroffizier) Kruger. On the right side of the helmet there is what appears to be remnants of perhaps a number painted in white. Not really sure what it is, but, part of the helmet's story. A great untouched Army helmet.
