Original period manufacture. What a fun reminder of my "early" days in the Militaria hobby. I remember often seeing these for sale on dealer's tables at local gunshows. The cards were produced by JPA in 1966, and bore two original German tropical helmet emblems mounted at center, with an informative description on the front, and a brief history of the Afrika Korps on the reverse. JPA must have had quite a supply of these original insignia in order to attempt to retail them this way. Thinking about it, the mere fact of the possibility of "German War Souvenirs" being a subject of retailer's profit had seeped into commercial activity even earlier. In 1964 our family made a vacation trip to Atlantic City, and the toy I purchased on the trip (I was 13) was a plastic German helmet and a toy Luger pistol, all in factory packaging and being sold as "German Souvenirs" , maybe made by MARX, I can't remember. In any case, a similar set just sold at auction for $81, mine was probably a couple of bucks in 1964, but the coins were still silver then. Only the Heer Adler is included, the shield was removed prior to our ownership.
