Original period manufacture. Standard Heer Wehrpass, issued to a soldier called up in March of 1939. Photo in cover, numerous entries, including his last unit assignment with Grenadier Regiment 922 (243rd Static Infantry Division), with a posting to the Atlantic Coast in October of 1943. This division was destroyed in the Battle of Normandy, with the survivors entering captivity after the fall of Cherbourg. Quite likely there is a story here, worthy of research
