Original era manufacture. Late war production M1942 steel helmet which never had decals applied to it. Most of the original dark feldgrau, combat finish paint remains. Fragments of the original leather liner, but an intact liner band with wool felt pad, and all three original rivets with slot washers are present. Size marked 66 in the rear of the neck skirt. Excellent candidate for restoration, or leave as-is for display.
