Original era manufacture. An early quality example of stamped alloy with a chrome finish. Unmarked reverse, normal age and wear, staining to the bottom edge of the buckle. This buckle formed part of the WWII souvenirs of  Captain L. Smith, 183rd FA Battalion, which arrived in France in June 1944. The small photo shows Captain Smith in Europe, dated November 1944. The photo is not included in the lot.
