Original era manufacture. All cotton construction, of three separate panels, with a machine sewn center diamond, and a sewn black swastika, measures roughly 50 x 60 inches.Attached to the hoist are 6 metal suspension rings, 5 steel, and one aluminum, evidently a period replacement. There are three period repairs in the body of the flag. These are in the form of sections of red cotton material neatly sewn into the upper left corner, and each of the two ends. This flag saw considerable use back in the day.  One of the souvenirs brought home from WWII by a US Army officer who served with the 282nd Combat Engineers.
