Original period manufacture. A very clean, standard pattern HJ knife RZM marked on the reverse of the blade M7/52 which is the code alloted to the firm of Herbertz & Meurer of Solingen. The blade is very clean, lots of original polish just some runner wear and smudging, we did not clean or polish the blade. Original black leather bumper at the base of the blade. Plated guard and pommel showing light wear, nice black plastic grips with a damage free HJ diamond. Original steel scabbard showing a very old repaint, perhaps period done, certainly not a recent job. Intact leather belt strap with pommel loop. It apparentlyhad a tear in the rearmost strap, just above the rivet and a repair was done in the form of gluing the front and rearportion of the belt loop together. It will no longer slip on a belt but it does not appear to be in any danger of further damage, remaining quite pliable. This is a veryclean looking HJ knife.
