Original era manufacture. German Hunting Cutlass & Small Knife, polished steel, triple etched blade measuring 16 inches in length, no makers marks. Gilded brass clam shell guard, white bone grip decorated with three brass ovals. Black leather bodied sheath with some areas of missing stitching near the throat. Gilded brass throat & chape. There is a small pocket behind the scabbard stud which serves as a sheath for a small knife. This knife measures 7 3/4 inches in length, with a matching bone handle and brass oval decoration. Thin crack in the grip which wraps around the grip body. The upper scabbard fitting on the cutlass scabbard is loose.
