Original era manufacture. Doeskin feldgrau wool visor hat, double marked, with the EREL logo on sweatshield and sweatband. The retailers name of Hans Durbeck of Wien (Vienna) also appears. The body of the hat displays numerous small repairs of moth damage in the wool surface, with no open holes remaining. It is not crushed or broken and displays quite nicely. Erel style wreath & cockade with a central ventilator, nickel silver eagle. The golden imitation silk lining is not stained or discolored, intact sweat shield with clear lettering. Wide tan leather sweatband which is securely sewn to the body, with a few punctures in the surface. The bottom edge of the hat shows wear, with scattered sections of the edge material missing. A good quality hat which displays very well.
