Original era manufacture Cast badge with the f.o. trademark below the pin hinge on the reverse, Friedrich Orth. This pattern can be seen as figure 2.04, on page 42 of the collector reference "The Infantry Assault Badges" buy Weber. Once thought to be replicas, ground dug examples have proven their originality. Normal age and wear.
