Original era manufacture. A nice quality Infantry Assault badge by Assmann, with it's maker mark on the reverse in the center of the rifle. Mix of zinc patina and original wash. See page 144, figure 7.17, The Infantry Assault Badge by Sascha Weber, for a similar example.
