Original era manufacture. A well worn pair of sewn-in style boards for an Infantry Oberstleutnant of the 14th regiment. These have evidently been removed from a uniform as the threads can still be seen. The white wool displays considerable moth damage, however from the top down they display quite well.The 14th Infantry regiment served with the 5th Panzer division during WWII, a division cited for outstanding conduct on the Eastern Front 6 times. It saw limited service in Poland, fought in France and the Balkans, ending the war in East Prussia.
