Original era manufacture. A magnetic center EK2, retaining most of the original finish on the iron core with a dark patina finish on the frame and ribbing; original ribbon. Overall a very clean example of the WWII German Iron Cross 2nd Class. Maker marked 44 on the suspension ring, Jakob Bengel, Idar-Oberstein. At the time of our purchase, the cross was without a ribbon, we had a nice used ribbon in our parts box and added it to the medal to complete.
