Original era manufacture. German WWII Iron Cross 1st Class with a maker marked reverse below the catch of L/19, Ferdinand Hoffstatter.Alloy, non-magnetic core, which is proper for this maker, with a satin black finish, displaying a smudge or chip on the upper arm. Very pleasing dark silver patina finish to the frame and ribbing, which carries over to the reverse.
