Original period manufacture. Doeskin feldgrau wool body with red wool piping and a dark green wool band. Bright aluminum eagle and wreath, with the eagle missing one of its attaching prongs. Officers quality chinstrap and side buttons. Complete liner with sweat diamond, which is size marked 57. The hat presents well, but does show its age, with some scattered mothing to the top. Simple brown leather sweatband which is open at the back.
