Original era manufacture. One of the souvenirs brought home by Cpl Roy Altenbach, Ordnance Section, US Army at the end of WWII. Great looking soldier used canteen with a black bakelite jigger style cup. The olive brown wool cover has a neat repair at its bottom and a stitch reinforcement on the upper shoulder of the cover. Complete pigskin leather harness with snaphook, however the leather is just beginning to tear a bit above the stiching where it rubs against the cup edge. Sound enough for display.
