Original era manufacture. Olive wool covered body with a black bakelite jigger style cup. Canvas suspension harness with a leather tip which attaches to the aluminum stud at the bottom of the canteen cover.  There is some scattered mothing, mostly on the reverse of the cover, and on the button flap. Light surface corrosion to the gray finished snap hook. A very presentable canteen for display.
