Original period manufacture. Dark ordnance gray painted tobacco style can, maker marked on its top cnx. The contents include the following; steel oiler, aluminum linked pull-through and both cleaning brushes. The floorplate tool is missing. This cleaning kit was a WWII souvenir of Pfc Earl Davis, who served with the 357th Infantry Regiment, 90th Division during WWII. The photo shows him (soldier with arrow) with members of his company taken in February 1944 prior to their departure for the ETO.
