Original era manufacture. German WWII matching numbers K98 bayonet and scabbard. Maker marked 42 cvl (WKC), serial number 8691o. Most of the original blue finish remains on the blade, sharp point, no corrosion issues. Mix of blue and steel patina and light surface corrosion on the guard and pommel, wooden grips. Dent free scabbard showing a mix of blue and steel patina, overall a clean original bayonet.
