Original era manufacture. Late war Horster mfg bayonet with riveted grips and displaying an sgx code. Dark red bakelite grips, phosphate finish to the metal portions. Few drops of garage paint on the scabbard body. The blade is sound, unsharpened with little of the original finish remaining. Late war milling marks can be seen on its surface in addition to a few spots of surface corrosion. Serial number 9106ii on the blade and 9153ii on the scabbard throat. The pommel top is dented and the lock button sticks and is difficult to move. Scattered denting to the scabbard body. Scarce latewar makers code and seldom seen available.
