Original era manufacture. A clean WWII S84/98 bayonet, mismatched, with the bayonet being marked 41 cul (E.Pack & Sohne), and the scabbard, Richard Herder 1938.The guard displays a hand-stamped four digit serial number indicating a re-work and issue by a Warsaw Pact country, post WWII. The waffenamt proofs have been removed from the pommel, but a faint proof remains on the lock button. The scabbard exhibits a blue finish, with slight surface denting along its length; the throat screw has been removed and replaced with a domed, aluminum rivet.
