Original era manufacture. Early production bayonet bearing the code S/173G which indicates manufacture by Coppel in 1935. Matching numbers blade to scabbard of 9498a. Nice blue finish to the unsharpened blade with a mix of light surface corrosion and blue to the other metal surfaces. The scabbard body is dent-free and the throat screw is in place. Sound mounted pattern frog with pommel strap intact. Shows normal age and wear overall.
