German WWII K98 Rifle Sling, L&F Marked Buckle

Original era manufacture. Standard leather K98 rifle sling which is complete with it's  stock tab, adjusting buckle and small leather loop. This is one of a number of WWII slings that we have just received from our friend in Norway. The leather strap shows a dark brown oiled (not greasy) finish, the adjusting buckle is marked L&F and the reverse of the stock tab shows what looks to be the letters R.L.. The little leather pad on the reverse of the adjusting buckle has worn off. The leather is very pliable, the stitching is sound and most importantly, this sling once was mounted to a WWII German K98 rifle. Normal age and wear, but sound for display.
