Original period manufacture. Lot of 11 Mass cards bearing the photographs of the soldiers who died in action.No duplicates, includes one of a sailor who served aboard U-232, a type VII-C sub which went down with all hands, 8 July 1943, in the North Atlantic west of Portugal. She was struck with two depth charges dropped by a USAAF Liberator bomber. Another is for a 22 year old Grenadier who lost his life at Stalingrad in December 1942.
