Original era manufacture. Large aluminum frame 7x50 binoculars made by Zeiss with an eagle and letter M on the left side frame cover plate.The optics are clear, they are in proper collimation, and theindividually adjustable eyepieces work properly. There is not a range grid in the lenses. Black crinkle finish to the frames, with wear to the high spots revealing the aluminum beneath. The frame covers have been overpainted at some point, likely by the GI who brought them home. His son told us his father used them while hunting deer in Virginia.Comes with an original presstoff case, which is 1944 dated and waffenamt proofed. The case is basically sound, however the closure stud is missing, while the spring catch and pull is intact.
