Original era manufacture. Large aluminum frame 7x50 binoculars made by E. Leitz, Wetzlar with an eagle and letter M on the left side frame cover plate.The optics are clear but a little cloudy, they are in proper collimation, and the individually adjustable eyepieces work properly. There is not a range grid in the lenses.Smooth black finish to the frames, with very clear Navy markings on the top frame covers, with the letter N, indicating North Sea fleet.The body of the binoculars are covered in an imitation leather covering, there are cracks in the thin covering, but no flaking or surface loss. Original leather neck strap as shown. The large leather case has a Navy eagle and M on the top of the lid. The stitching is sound, and the internal compartments and dividers are present. The closure strap is broken off, and the belt loops and shoulder strap is missing.
