Original era manufacture. Dark blue wool peacoat with brass anchor buttons. Pair of crossed signal flags embroidered directly onto the left sleeve. Enlisted pattern breast eagle nicely stitched onto the right front of the jacket. A dark blue wool cap of a slightly different color is included with an emboidered KRIEGSMARINE tally and a pin-on metal cap insignia. The peacoat shows some scattered minor mothing and wear but the hat is quite clean. The picture of the child does go with the uniform even though he is wearing a different jacket.
