Original era manufacture. Gilded alloy device on a alloy backing plate, black cotton reverse with a makers name and date in white ink.There are loose threads around the edge from being removed from the uniform. Scattered mothing to the blue wool backing material, hard to see due to the black cotton reverse. Worn by those sailors serving on E-Boats, Destroyers and of course, U-Boats, who were Torpedo qualified.
