Original era manufacture. A Norwegian capture hardwood K98 stock, matching serial number of 7259, or 59, on all of the metal components including the bandspring, stock, upper handguard and cleaning rod. The stock disc and recoil bolt face are not numbered. There is a letter M on the stock face between two eagle proofs indicating Kriegsmarine issue. Arsenal dowel reinforcement in the bolt handle recess. The cupped buttplate now displays a Norwegian number and the German makers code of gqm. When we were going through out latest shipment of stocks and cleaning rods we put this stock and cleaning rod set together, the only set we could match up.
