Original era manufacture. Norwegian capture K98 rifle stock which comes complete with the following; laminate wood stock and upper handguard, upper and lower barrel bands, bayonet lug, band spring, recoil bolt and cupped buttplate. The serial number 3225 appears on the stock, handguard, bayonet lug and butt plate (struck through, and renumbered) with a waffenamt code of WaA26. The two barrel bands match themselves (2430) with a waffenamt code of 623. I did not remove the upper band to check the band spring number.Fairly clear markings on the stock face with the letter M below an eagle for Kriegsmarine issue. No dowel reinforcement, good color throughout, normal age and wear.
