Original era publication. A well used, but nicely filled-out Navy Soldbuch, issued to Max Kalus in 1941. He apparently served in the Coastal Artillery, but for a time was under the command of personnel buro of the U-Boot arm.His award entries include notations for a Sports Badge, Black Wound Badge and the Iron Cross which was awarded to him in April of 1945. Nearly every page has an entry of some sort, which should provide the researcher good substance for study.The covers are loose, an attempt was made to remove his photo from inside the cover, and most of the eagle stamps have had the swastika covered over.The Iron Cross document has been folded, and placed between the pages of his soldbuch for many years. Tears at the upper edge.
