Original era manufacture. Norwegian capture K98 rifle stock which comes complete with the following; laminate wood stock, hardwood upper handguard, upper and lower barrel bands, bayonet lug, band spring, recoil bolt and flat butt plate. The serial number 5439 and waffenamt code 26, can be seen on several of the components except the handguard and band spring. There are three dowel reinforcements in the wood, one in the bolt handle recess and two in the wrist. There is some scuffing to the wood surface between the upper and lower bands, indicating a tight fit to the lower band. Faint eagle proof and 26 code on the stock face.
